How in the world is it P-day again? Sister Zhong and I had the realization that this is the start of our FIFTH WEEK together and we both died. HOW IS TIME GOING SO FAST? It is honestly frightening. It doesn't help that we are the busiest kids in the world! Also the happiest:) hah But seriously, we are so busy we don't even have time to breathe but its fine hah.
This week all smart phones got rolled out in our missions, and we were left to train everyone and their dog on how to use them. ha This included us waking up early 4/7 days this week to travel to all the areas in our zone to teach everyone. I am so pooped. hah But we were successful! Phones are all in working order, and now we are all trying to get used to them! It is incredible how much more effective they are. We are able to use this social network? Thing called "Line" that everyone uses here, which is basically just a free way to text and call people over the internet. It has made daily contact and just contact in general SO much easier, holy cow! We LOVE line. It has made such a difference. We have also been loving all of the church resources that smart phones allow- aka gospel library, media, videos, conference talks, etc. SO AWESOME. We are in personal study heaven. Another part of phones is an online area book which in theory is awesome. But first, we have to input our ENTIRE area book on our little phones.. President has us spending 2 hours a day doing that to try and get it done as quickly as possible. Long story short, we are so sick at looking at our phones. hah
This week was a great week of miracles. Man, we really just feel so blessed. The investigators we are teaching right now are seriously awesome. VERY prepared and I believe they really will be baptized! This week we got to set a baptismal date with many new people and are excited to see their progression in these upcoming weeks! I think I have two particular highlights of this past week. Zeng JM and Lu Wei Tong.
Zeng JM- She is the mother of a member in America. This member, Wu JM, recently came to Taiwan to attend her grandmother's funeral, and while she was here, she brought her mom to church. This was last Sunday and there we had a chance to set up with Zeng JM to visit her and teach her more! We have visited her twice now, and she came to church by herself yesterday! She is so interested in the gospel and the way it has helped her daughter, and is well on her way to being baptized! She is so cool and is already connecting so well with the ward! #blessed
The next is our 同學 friend Lu Wei Tong. Lu JM is a 17 year old student who we met two weeks ago when she came to an activity with her friend! Since then she has already come to church twice, and just about every activity in between! We learned that it was HER that asked her member friend if she could come to church with her! Super cool! She is so so cool. We had the chance to meet with her twice this past week. The first time was a fast 15min "get to know you" and HTBT lesson where we introduced what we were wanting to teach, set some expectations, taught about God, Christ, and prayer, and set a baptismal date with her. (yes, she is so awesome) Then later this week we had a real chance to teach her the first lesson. Before we even started, we followed up with her on prayer. She told us she had prayed, and had a cool experience. She said she was praying to know what she should do once she graduates high school, because she had two choices. Thinking that it was probably a choice of choosing between two different colleges or something, I asked her what her question was and she said, "Well, I was asking Heavenly Father if I should start school first, or, go on a mission first." . . Ok cool ya, wait WHAT?! GO ON A MISSION? WE HAVEN'T EVEN TAUGHT YOU THE FIRST LESSON. Our jaws were probably on the floor at that point, and then she goes on to say, "and as I prayed, Heavenly Father made it clear to me that I need to go on a mission." . . . . Yes yes yes. This is what I am talking about.. VERY prepared people. It was a nice transition into our lesson though. "Well, to help you prepare for that mission, let's start by helping you prepare for baptism shall we..?" hah So cool. She is awesome. Big miracle.
Some other highlights this week were finishing up exchanges for this transfer, Thanksgiving lunch at the Bailey's (senior couple in our district), my RC Mistral now taking initiative to report to us on how every "share the gospel" attempt goes for her, and all the cafes starting to play Christmas music that I get to quietly enjoy as we are studying:)
All in all, life is awesome. I love life so much. This area is awesome. My companion is awesome. Missions are awesome. The gospel is awesome. Life is just awesome. Also, I get to eat Costco pumpkin pie this week, so who wouldn't be excited??
I love ya'll and hope you have a wonderful week! Eat some turkey for me!
xoxo
