Hey you guysssssss!
Another great week here in YongHe. SO fast too! Seriously, I'm not sure time even passed! ha I sure love it here. We see miracles every single day! But, I also have never been more tired in my life. haha SO MUCH TO DO.
First of all, I. LOVE. SISTER. ZHONG. She is seriously the cutest human being ever. We are already best friends. We are laughing 100% of the time. It is the best ever. We are already PRAYING to be together for two transfers. Oh man. Life is awesome.
This week was busy busy busy. We got to meet with lots of great people and we are feeling good.
A highlight was taking my RC Mistral to the temple this past week! We all woke up REALLY early on Saturday morning so she could go before class and all had a wonderful experience! Every time I step into the temple, I really feel like I am coming home. It is a feeling I always want to keep and will always live worthy for it.
Zeng JM is doing amazing. We finished teaching her the commandments this week, and she got down to ONE CIGARETTE A DAY this week. BAPTISM HERE WE COME! She already has a great testimony and is counting down the days until her baptism! Every prayer she says she asks Heavenly Father to help her keep His commandments so she can be baptized! She is going to make it for sure. To help Sister Zeng in her efforts to quit smoking, we promised her we would also give something up too. We picked all treats (except for any that Sister Bailey makes haha). (sheds a silent tear) BUT, it's awesome. It has given us the perfect excuse to not have to eat anything sweet that members try to shove down our throats:)) I am loving it.
Penny is still moving along. We are working hard to know how to help her, but are feeling a little stuck. Praying for some miracles this week.
I honestly can't even remember what happened this week because it went by so fast! But, with the new transfer just starting, exchanges are starting back up, and zone conference and all that are around the corner! Next week is literally going to be the busiest week of our lives so we are getting prepared for that. hah
A cool miracle we saw this week came on Sunday. Sister Zhong and I worked really hard this week to talk to everyone and to put ourselves in situations that the Lord could put His prepared people in. Throughout the week, we saw small miracles, but the Lord definitely tested our faith a little bit. But, when Sunday came around, Heavenly Father showered the blessings down upon us. We were able to set three friends/part member kids/families up on Sunday of non-members to teach, as well as had many miracles show up at church! I am so grateful for the lessons the Lord continues to teach me of patience, hope, and faith. It is a great patten for our lives.
Well, I love this work! Coming on a mission is truly the best decision I have ever made. I have learned what it really means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ and I have become changed. I am still me. But everyday becoming a more complete, stronger, perfect version of myself. It is amazing to me that you can come on a mission with hopes of changing the lives of others, and leave finding that your own life was changed in the process. I love my mission and wouldn't trade these experiences for the world. Though most of the people who see these emails are either on missions, recently returned, or married with children, I want to invite all of you who fit in the category of "those who could go on a mission" to GO ON A MISSION. I promise you it is the best thing you could ever do. Also, shoutout to my cousin Jayne for getting her mission call to Leeds, England! SO amazing! I love her!
I love this gospel. I know it is true. I am grateful everyday for a Savior who loves me, who knows me, and who is slowly perfecting me. Have such a wonderful week.
xoxo
